*NOTE only a handful of tarantula species can live together like this without cannibalism. Every tarantula communal runs the risk of friction, even ones with so-called "communal species".
For those wondering, I started this commune in June of 2016 with nine slings measuring about 1/2 from two sacs. I rehoused them into this enclosure almost exactly a year later when all of the specimens were around 4". The first male matured at about 18 months; the last matured at around the 3 year mark. The males have since died of old age, but these five adult females remain. #shortvideo #shorts #short
